Who I am.

Hello and welcome to my personal blog. Between my Twitter and Facebook accounts, as well as my work being occasionally posted on the Internet, I suppose I have felt that the Internet does not need any more of my thoughts and so, I have never started my own blog. That is, until now.

This blog is for my Introduction to E-Commerce course at Boston University. This is my first class towards my MS in International Marketing Management. In fact, this is my first assignment for my first class.

On to the title of this blog post. Who I am. I was born in Huntsville, Canada a mere 26 years ago. My Mother is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States, and so, at the age of 16, I naturalized to claim my American citizenship as well. After much debate between studying CompSci and Film, I choose my heart over my head and moved to Toronto, Canada, where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ryerson University. I worked in photo labs since I was 16 and eagerly made Photography an unofficial minor at Ryerson as well, learning how similar cinematography and photography really are.

In 2004 I met my wife, who was a live-in nanny for a missionary couple who were living in Toronto for cultural training. She is from Stuttgart, Germany. Once I graduated in 2006 I moved to Stuttgart and have been here ever since.

Shortly after arriving here, I found a job with M.C. Dean, Inc., a US based design-build engineering firm that does work for the US Department of Defense within Europe and Africa. I helped set up a Creative Services department within M.C. Dean and work as the Sr. Multimedia Specialist on that team. We are a team of 10 consisting of Videographers, Photographers, Graphic Designers and Technical Writers. My job allows me to document our engineering projects we undertake and travel quite a bit to some very unique places.
